Shrikhand Receipes

Let it be a traditional festival or auspicious ceremony, Indian people never lose a chance to include Shrikhand in the buffet. How delicious and healthy it would be if MBCare substitutes are added in it! Let’s try it.

Ingredients:

hung low fat yogurt (chaka) – 1½ cups
MBCare’s Sugar Pro Tulsi – 2.5 tbsp (15g)
Nutmeg powder – ¼ tsp
Green cardamom powder – ½ tsp
Saffron – A large pinch of saffron,
Soaked in milk – for garnish
Almonds – 5-6  blanched, peeled and slivered + for garnish
Charoli – 1½ tbsp  + for garnish

Preparation:

  1. Take hung yogurt in a large bowl, add Sugar Pro Tulsi, mix and set aside for 10-15 minutes.
  2. Add nutmeg powder and green cardamom powder and mix well. Strain the mixture into another bowl.
  3. Add saffron, almonds, charoli and mix well. Transfer into an airtight container, add saffron, almonds and charoli, cover and refrigerate till chilled.

Cooking tips

To make the creamy hung curd, hang the curd in a cool place for at least 5-6 hour to remove the whey.
Alternatively, you can place a heavy weight on the curd.
